Well yesterday (Tuesday) was a really good day! We had physio at 8.30 with Eva she was really proud of Lexi doing so well, she didnt work her to hard as she was tired, she had been up since 5am and was ready to go back to bed.! 9am we had doctors round and Prof. Dunitz was so proud of Lexi she calls her the little Princess :) Love it! lol she said she is the star of the program and we have all done really well! She is gonna stay on her milk she is on and she told me her developmental stage is still at a baby so she is at the baby drinking stage and she will move on as she develops.! I told her i was happy with the amount of calories she is drinking but im not so happy that this is it as she used to have 1000mls of water on top of the milk to keep her hydrated, well Prof Dunitz said that was too much to be having anyway and as long as she is drinking half of her body weight in calories then she is happy! Her weight yesterday was 11.80kg she has kept that weight for 3 days now! So basically as long as she gets 500-600 calories per day! She asked if we would like to leave the hospital towards the end of week 3 and have a holiday out of it :) Im gonna wait and see how she is on Monday, if she is at the stage where i think the last few days will benefit her then we will stay, if not we will check in to the hotel with my mum and dad and just chill out! Woo Only four more days and they will be here!!
After this we had Occupational therapy she done really well again, she done the same as all the other times really, she just gets better and better every time :) Playpicnic was at 12 and we took with us a bottle filled with baby food spag bol, she done Brilliantly with it she took loads from the bottle, and also drank about 20mls of blackcurrant squash aswell :D She finished off with her milk drinking i think about 60 mls (roughly 2 ounces) 3-4 then she had Speech and Language therapy, Elizabeth, her therapist, is working on trying to get to eat off a spoon. As i was feeding her more spag bol from the bottle, Elizabeth would have some ready on the spoon, i would take the bottle out and she would quickly put the spoon in... she hated it, even though it was exactly the same food off the spoon she was going mad! I was scared htis was going to put her off her bottle as she was being tricked and then she was pushing the bottle away aswell! We decided together that we will go back to the syringe with the food cos she enjoys putting the syringe in her mouth and then i just push it so the food comes out :) I just had to go the a sec to speak to a lady i think shes a psychtherapist, she asked about all our feelings etc, and how Lexi was doing. She said what is Lexi like at home because my impression of when ive met her is she never cries, she is happy contentented and communicates really well with you.. Yep thats Lexi i said :) she onlyreally cries when shes tired, dirtied her nappy, or hurt herself really :) If she had seen her the first week hungry then she would of seen her cry lol.. ! Aww shes a really nice woman shes always coming over to check we are ok and said she thinks we are alovely happy family :) so sweet! Last night we didnt really do alot, gave Lexi a shower cos we were told to stop using the bathroom cos its shared with infectious people...Great! Lexi hated the shower bless her, im gonna have to use a baby bath from now on! We just watched a film (we still got Irish familys dvd player) and had an early night it was nice! Lexi drank 100mls of milk :) Jill, i told Elizabeth you said hi, she remembered you and Jason and asked how is he getting on is he still doi
